The holidays can be stressful for some people, but holiday portraits don't have to add to that stress. In fact, holiday portraits can actually be a lot of fun! As a photographer, holiday portraits have become one of my favorite photography sessions of the year. Many people use holiday family portraits a holiday card, to post on social media, or just have as a keepsake. Holiday portraits are most popular at Christmas or during the winter months.  

Holiday Portraits in Mini Sessions

In the late fall and early winter, particularly as Christmas approaches, I schedule holiday portraits as mini sessions, which are a great way to do family or children's holiday photos. Mini sessions are just a short version of a traditional photo shoot done in a studio. The mini sessions are 30 minutes each and I have a set of fun backdrops and lots of holiday-themed props. In the winter I have wrapped gifts, snowmen, evergreen trees and a beautiful handmade wooden sleigh. Many of the families that I work with for holiday portraits call me year after year and have some amazing holiday photos that show how fast the family grows up!
